The typical rate of payment for work published in Chronogram is $.10 per word. We do not offer kill fees or any other compensation for stories we choose not to publish. Chronogram reserves the right not to publish any story submitted to us if it does not meet our editorial standards, even if the editor has initially given a writer the "go-ahead" for a story idea.
